This individual assignment is a research proposal outline for an empirical study that will compare traditional foreign language learning methods with new digital language learning methods to establish a more comparative analysis between both methods of foreign language learning. This proposed study aims to address the gap in the research discussed in the literature review to answer the question: to what degree do the advancements differ between traditional foreign language learning methods and online foreign language learning methods that integrate gamified technology?
